Ok, hmm where to start. Well my car died on me while driving. I couldn't get it to start again. My lil bro told me it was the coil. LOL he was wrong......it was my distributor. Well he dumbass changed it for me without paying attention to anything. My car still wouldn't start. Well I messed with it for like 2 hours and got my car to start. Well now it's running really rough. I have to give it gas to start, it has no power, very very slow at accelerating, runs better in higher rpm especially in 3rd and 4th gear, 5th gear.....well i tried it, got pissed and went back to 4th.....lol. I've changed the cap, rotor, dist, plugs, wires and the fuel filter <just for fun> I just need some sort of idea as to what to do next. PLEASE HELP..................Jen

 

Did he replace the coil or the distributor? If it was the distributor, he might have not lined it up right when he put the new one in and now the timing is way off. Or the wires were put back on the distributor cap in the wrong order. That would be the easiest thing to check first.

 

I would check your timing as stated above.

 

he changed the distributor, cap and rotor. then i changed the plugs and wires. but ever since i let him work on it's been running bad............

it has like hmmmmm 130,087........but it just died on me while driving....ended up getting no spark...figured it out and now i have this problem. if you want to give me advice you can email me...gottats24@yahoo.com or send me an im on yahoo
