As soon as I get home...
I'm deployed right now. The day I get back I will swap my shitty *** D16A6 for a B16. I planned on doing all kinds of crap with the money I made. Anyway, I got about 2 months left and things didn't work out as well. I ended paying off a **** load of bills and my two credit cards. When I get back, I'll have a little over $3,000 to work with. I've been comparing the SiR B16 and the 92/93 Integra XSi B16 for weeks now.
SiR B16: 160hp 111tq Y1 Tranny
XSi B16: 170hp 113tq YS1 Tranny
I was gonna break down and spend the additional $200 for the XSi since I know that when the swap is completed, I'll be running on empty or pretty damn close to it. The way I added **** up, the SiR would be 2300 and the XSi would be $2500. That's not including changing the water pump, belts, clutch and **** like that. I figure $500 should more than enought to cover stuff like that.
Then out the blue, I thought about an LSD. But that's $300 more. ****! Anyway, now I can't make up my damn mind. I've never driven a B16 or XSi powered CRX before so I don't even know how big the difference is. I know the YS1 transmission is more closely geared and that the XSi is OBD1. The car isn't gonna be a drag car but I do want it to be a 12 second car (bottle fed or not).
I already have the OBD-1 conversion wiring. I just can't decide what to settle for. I honestly don't know if I can even afford the XSi w/ LSD swap comfortably. But if I get it, I'll be all OBD-1-up with a newer engine.
Please post any suggestions and/or opinions.

The 92-93 Integra XSi's are OBD-1. They use an OBD-1 PR3 ECU.

I do want an LS/VTEC or CR/VTEC setup. I decided to go B16 first so I can get the wiring out of the way. That way, I'll have a much easier time to build up an LS block before sticking it in my car w/o the any down time. Not to mention, all the B16 swaps I see are cheaper and I rather look for an LS block more than I would a VTEC head.

Even though I could probably find one for that price or less, I'm talking about buying the motor from hmotorsonline. Not to mention those quotes are total costs.
I don't wanna get an engine from a friend of a friend and the ***** fucked up and everyone knows it but me. Yeah, I don't know that many people around here. I just work here. Check the sig.

I'm with who ever that other guy was who said not to buy a motor from a friend.
"Friends don't give friends warranties"
They might help you get in there, if even that. I'm going with hmotorsonline.com
