remmber this is ap/c not tech, maybe if you write a review on how to do it.. step by step.. it would be. Also go check out we-todd.com and host pictures on them, it's free.

Heres what I did for those that don't know what to do:

Tools needed:
-ratchet
-screwdriver
-sandpaper 600 grid
-butter knives
-silicone

First I took off the front bumper, then used a screwdriver to pop out those plastic things. Then unscrewed 4 bolts holding the headlight in place, 2 on top of headlight and 1 on the left and right. Then I heated my oven to 170 degrees F for about 10 mins. I noticed it to be sticky still so I raised the temperature to to 185-190 and left in for a few mins. On the second headlight I found the heat at 185 F for 10 mins worked perfect. Then I used butter knives to take off the clear plastic. Removed everything and began sanding. Then I spray on the primer and paint. After that was all done I put it all back together again and placed in oven to reseal and siliconed it again just in case water gets in.

Can you guys post some pics of your painted headlights? I was considering painting a bronze finish. Just wondering how it would look.

I blacked out my headlights on my Civic when I had it. I had two sets of lights and tried two different methods. The oven method worked 100 X easier than the hairdyer/heat gun method ever worked. Funny thing was...my friend wanted to take the orange out of his Jeep Cherokee taillights so he tried putting his in the oven after seeing me do my headlights. It melted them. I still laugh to this day about it.

rofl, did he just crank the heat on them, or do those headlights just not work well with any heat?

It was actually his taillights. I guess it was a different material or something. He had it set on 215 just like I did. I still remember when he started yelling, AAAHHH!!! WTF?!! I was like..What?! What?! He pulled them out of the oven on the sheet and I just fell to the floor laughing. He was pissed as hell that I was laughing and it made me laugh harder the more I looked at them. It was a half light/half goo mess. Then he was all pissed because he thought I told him a higher temperature or something. lol
