car dies help
i just got my integra turbocharged, the car only starts when i have my intercooler pipe disconected from my turbo, when it is connected it starts, idils really low and dies right away, please help
Having the piping connected only adds more air. It sounds like you may be too lean and the ecu cannot compensate quick enough. How are you adding fuel for boost?

can't really tell the problem without knowing if you have enough fuel getting to the engine. You could try adding more fuel to your basemaps and see if it helps the problem...It sounds like you are too lean at idle and the extra air from the turbo is causing it. without a wideband there is no way to tell. A wideband is considerably cheaper than a motor.
hows the turbo ?? shaft play ?? spins freely ?? new clean filter ??
for some reason i think the opposite of you guys
i dont think theres to much air, i think it might be not enough air and the cyclinders are being flooded
i have idled my car as lean as 20:1 (when i was first tuning my base map)
i think with the charge pipe disconnected its getting enough air, but with the charge pipe connected either the turbo isnt spinning or the filter is completely clogged so no air is getting sucked in
just my 2cents

B18b, P75, 450's, T3/T4 hybrid, Closed loop is enabled, 2.5" crappy exhaust, intercooled, dyno'd at 213 and 200ft.lbs. at 9-10 psi. This is slightly tuned with much room for improvement.

I cannot get your bin to register correctly. The fuel numbers are all corrupted. I tried tuning mine without a wideband from the start and it was futile. The only way you might get an idea is to check for signs of a lean/rich condition like a misfire or plug checks, or black smoke etc...
I also notice on mine with closed loop disabled that my autometer air/fuel ratio gauge (not the wideband) will read in the ball park of the wideband-it is just not as acurate. You have to do this in open loop or the ecu will drive it rich/lean as it is hunting for the correct ratio and making adjustments to your long and short term fueling tables. You might also try this to give you an idea. Good luck

Sorry for the late reply.
I opened your bin and looked at the misc. page...you have the engine running in closed loop:
When it is cold, it is in open loop and is running on the base maps you have in the program.
As soon as the engine coolant temp gets around 160 degrees (not sure of the exact number but it is somewhere in that range) it goes into closed loop. The ecu is now reading the base maps and the o2 sensor and making corrections to the long and short term fuel correction values and changing your tune.
You could try unplugging the ecu to remove any of the long/short term corrections, this will cause it to re-learn the tables and may give you an idea of what is causing the problem: rich/lean...
I would suggest leaving it in open loop (check the closed loop disable and the o2 heater disable boxes) burn a new chip and see how it runs there. You will have to have a wideband or at least a narrow band to see what it is doing and make your tune from that point. A wideband is the only way you are going to get it tuned correctly. good luck.
