Another 'What's it worth' thread - ITR SF BAy Area
Selling a 2000 ITR, yellow, with 33k miles and wondering about a fair price.
Car is mint and pretty much stock. Pictures here: http://smi-web.stanford.edu/pe...pe-R/ (Warning: they are huge.) One owner, clean title, always garaged etc.
Local (SF Bay Area) Acura dealers have offered $15-$16.5k (which was more than I expected from a dealer).
I almost tempted to sell to a dealer to avoid all the tire kickers and fantasizers but if I could get $19k it may be worth the effort. Realistic?
TIA

I would start with $19K, and realistically, you should be able to sell in the low $18Ks.

I'd say you should be able to easily get $27.5K from someone willing to pay that amount, for a 2000 ITR with only 33K miles and in such nice condition, esp. in California these days.
just to let you know....i traded mine in last year at an Infiniti dealer and it has 30k on it and was in perfect and i mean perfect showroom condition and got 13,500...FLAME SUIT ON......well in my own defense i had it on auto trader for 3 months...honda-tech for 6 months and on ebay 2 times before i had to settle for what the dealer wanted to give me
Well not that much, but definitly close to MSRP new (23-24kish). I refused 19k from a dealer that wanted to buy my car. I have a stock one just like yours perfect condition with 57k on it. So I'm sure you won't have trouble finding a buyer. Trust me there are people out there willing to dish out that amount for a stock type r. Dealers that have them that I know of sell them for no less than 23k.

I'm planning on picking up a 2000 ITR w/ 70k mi. on it for $15.5 cash here soon. Not sure if that helps give you an idea or not. The car is in awesome shape, almost on par with yours.
I'm basically getting it for about seventy five bucks under blue book. Although, it's not called a Hype-R for nothing.

I'm going on the assumption that you meant 17.5K.
Personally, I think if you can get 19k you will be at the high end of the spectrum. I'd keep it though.

19k for a 2000 PY ITR w/ 33k miles is very realistic in CA....you just have to be patient. Your target group is pretty young so 19k is a HUGE investment...but I'm sure you'd get an offer very close to that asking price.

What Atila said. No problem getting $18k for the car. Heck, start at $20k, and wait it out... until someone gives you $19k or whatever amount that makes you happy.

What part of the US?
I'm talking CA here, where they are stolen so damn often they are an endangered species.

Got it in CA, Halfmoon Bay. An old lady was selling her commuter car (ITR) because she bought a Porsche Carrera. The car had a lot of miles but it probably never even hit redline and it was bone stock.
Edit- My first one was stolen and found stripped in Oakland.

id buy it for a reasonable price. 18 would be cool for me, providing i get a loan b/c i dont wanna sell the dc5. ive always wanted a type-r but was not able to get one new, and when i was in the market they were still up there in price. to own a type-r would be a dream for me, and if i get a loan id hop on yours. im thinkin dealers in our area would offer more than anywhere else just to have the car sitting there for 4th of july and all, but i dont think theyd pay 19-20. good luck with it, maybe ill end up takin her home from a dealer lol.
