Default another BRAKE problem HELP!

sorry if ask before but never dept w/ problem before, my lady recently purchase a 92 acoord ex for dirt cheap, only problem is the brakes, they don't wanna BRAKE. the steering wheel starts to shake and there is a wierd feel of the brake pedal, seconds later the ABS lights up on dash. the previous owner mention that there are new brake pads which i can see. i think they didn't bleed the brakes, and found a old brake pad in the trunk and there was no pad left at all, there is little damages to the rotor where you can see where it went metal to metal when braking. could those be the problem. please help, don't want something BAD happenin to my lady.

If the metal to metal contact on the rotor is deep and not removable by cutting the rotors then i would recommend a new set of front rotors. You sound like you might have some air in your brakes so i would bleed as said above. What is the wierd feel to the brake pedal can you be a lil more specific?

I would remove the brake pads. Look and feel the rotors for any signs of irreuglar wear and tear. Deep groves will cause your brake pedal to pulsate and your steering wheel to shake while you brake. It doesn't matter if you have new brake pads. If the rotors are not flat then the shaking problem will only continue or reappear later. Get the rotors turned at your local repair shop. It should cost you under $10 per rotor. Obviously the previous owner didn't take care of their brakes, so as suggested in the previous posts, bleed your brakes. I would suggest just replacing the brake fluid. Who knows how old that brake fluid is now? Good luck.

YEAH, thanks fellas, this info really answers my post, the filling on the brake pedal when braking doesn't fill too good, wants to brake but doesn't.
i might as well bleed the brakes and replace the rotor with new rotors. once again thanks alot fellas.
