My cf hood's clear coat has gotten all f*cked up. It seems like the motor gets so hot its sorta melted the clear coat so its just a plain finish (hard to explain, but looks like its been water damaged from sitting in the sun without being dryed off). I am going to get it fixed at the garage but has anyone else had this problem? or heard of something similar?

Yea... mine is horrible looking.

You just need to have it recleared and it will look new again.
