Default VIS problem

so i bought a brand new VIS hood for my 92-95 hatch. well it came with a spider crack under the clear coat. i acutally bought the hood threw a local dealer. he contacted vis and sent them a picture of the crack in in the clear coat and they are claiming its not big enough. this crack is under the layer of clear coat and clear as day in teh sun probaly 3 inches long. im sorry but is that normal to have the company think its ok in a 500 dollar hood. i didnt pay for a hood with cracks in it. maybe if the weave was a little messed up but not cracks.

ill get pictures of the crack but any VIS people on here can you contact me. this is serious bullshit to recieve a hood that has cracks, on top of it was cut to high around the headlghts but that isnt my main concern. i went with VIS cuz i hear good things but now i have this brand new hood with crack in it and they claim to not want to do ****.

Return it, buy one from anothe rmanufacturer or reseller. That should not be tolerated.

I've bought two new VIS hoods and both were in perfect condition. If I'm forking out that much money, the product better be perfect. Is it possible it was damaged in shipping? I'd raise hell and get it replaced.

VIS is a piece of ****, welcome to my hell for the last 2 years. They dropped my dealer as a dealer because they didnt want to warranty my trunk that came with all kinds of holes in the clear from drying to fast, when I waxed it all the holes turned white!

I have the same problem with my hood Also turned yellow and started to haze. Called VIS and they said they can't do anything about it. They said that when you get the hood you are supposed to sand it and reclear it for protection. Why did I spend 500 on a VIS when there clear isn't worth a ****?

yeah, no ****! thats stupid. I keep spreading the word about how bad they are to people torn between VIS and seibon, and people keep getting VIS, some people just dont listen. The only reason I got a VIS CF hood was I bought it used off of Heretic:Si on here and saw it in person, not to mention it was a decent price!

expletive VIS...why would you spend $500 on a hood that needs to be sanded and recleared so it has a protection layer...????? Money doesn't grow on trees VIS...HT should ban VIS sponsers. I was planning to get a VIS CF hood but guess not anymore...oopss there goes -$500 for VIS...
