i have a '95 civic coupe & the problem seems to be with the hood latch. the hood pops open without a problem when i pull the hood release, however the problem is that when i try to close the hood it doesnt close/lock. i have to use a screw driver or something to slide the spring inside the latch over a little, then it closes. would replacing the hoodlatch solve my problem or is there another piece involved with the hoodlatch that could be causing this?

replace latch = problem solved.

you can also try to get the old one working, but it will eventually do this again.

okay will do. just wanted to make sure that was going to solve the problem. it's pretty aggrivating trying to get it to close after an oil change or simply just to look under the hood. having to use a screwdriver & ****. haha. thanks alot though i appreciate it.
