yes... NC doesnt have that much of restriction here... as long ur check engine light is not on... and everything works... thats about it... i kno that CA has this smog check **** goin on... but yea... i had my turbo on and i was doin inspection 1 time and they pass me...
You need some sort of tuneable computer to run your setup correctly. Try looking into local Uberdata tuners who can chip your stock ECU and tune from there.
I don't think you can chip the stock ecu on a 00 Si (OBD2b). I am pretty sure you can only chip OBD1 and prior ECUs. You would also have to convert to OBD1 to use uberdata, just like with the Hondata. The only plug and play is the AEM EMS.
if you wanted to convert to OBD1, the ecu of choice would be the P28 with uberdata. the reason being is because there are countless P28s out there and uberdata is FREE! we all like free

so basically i cant change the ECU and have a my OBD2.... unless i change a OB2 into a OBD1 then i can change my ECU.... damn this sucks.... but i heard some say that VAFC works somehow.. is that rite?
it's called a VAFC hack. those are not any good if you want to run "good" boost. the only way to go is to have a stand alone fuel management system.
vafc works fine for some people... if you search the archives you'll come across a bunch of people against it on an FI car. You;re from NC, most ppl would want to be in your place where emission isn't a problem. Convert to OBD1, you'll get much better and safer results.
yea... i think thats the only way... swaping out whenever i get it inspect... thanks alot guys.... oh yea... my sn is in vietnamese... its not a name... well thanks alot guys... preciate ur opinion
