i have read almost all of the main relay questions regarding main relays in ef chassis. i can't start my car when it gets hot. i thought i was out of gas originally but after two gallons my car still won;t start. then this morning i went out and my crx started right up. then after all day in the sun not start again. also no power to pump. the main relay passed the test in the haynes manual but i have heard there are multiple tests also. also the main relay click like it should when you turn the key. no other codes or problems. i forgot to add that the solder is still in tack on the relay. it is not cracked or anything

do yourself A favor and just resolder all the connections on the board inside the main relay it will fix it.

 

I had the same problem. I resoldered the dry socket in the main relay and that didn't appear to be the problem. I tested this by taking out the main relay and tried to start it when it was cool. The car still fires without the main relay just won't start. i hear all the clicks as it suppose to, starter, main relay when it is in, fuel pump, etc. when it is hot out it doesn't fire at all. i'm lost and need some help myself!!! i've even put in new ground wires from the battery as well as the starter. any help appreciated.
