im slowly beginning to work on the interior of my hatch, and i seen this thing up for sale..just wondering if the plugs for the lighter piece of the console is a direct plug and play for the piece in my car?
this piece that i would like to buy is an oem piece off of an ek9 or ek4.. so if anyone knows anything about this, i'd be delighted to hear from ya!! lols, thanks in advance!

lols..bad place? if its not there it would be higher and thats where the radio goes..any lower, and its in the shifter ;p

 

plugs right in it will look clean

i don't think that one is going to fit. it looks like a JDM one, and if it is the JDM one, the mounting points are different, and the shape of it is a little different. i might be wrong though..

 

yeah it will work, it was an option part from honda

now people try to sell them on ebay claiming the JDM thing

 

i have that on my 99 hatch... only my ashtray (coin holder turned custom air storage facility) is on the left and the lighter (or power adapter thingy) is on the right.

 

The one pictured isn't like the one that can be bought at a honda dealership... not sure but my ashtray is positioned differently than the picture above. The one that can be bought here in the states has the ashtray to the left and the lighter on the right.

The first picture shows the lighter on the left and the ashtray on the right.

I think that's the JDM one... if it is it looks like it will fit but won't. If you look at the pic of the civic w/ the sol seats, his lighter and ashtray are reversed.

 

nice find on the jdm one. the only bad thing about these is you can't put oversized [ie Sonic rout 44] or the like cups in the cup holder. to put 20 oz bottles in mine i have to use the cig lighter side and remove the lighter thingy. then its just enought to clear the bottle. ites a straight forward install too. not more than 30 mins or so.
