i am planning to buy a system for my 96 prelude. i was lookin into buying two 10" Kicker 04CVR10s rated at 300 RMS watts each and 600 peak watts each. I dont kno much about systems so i dont really know what kind of amp to buy. what size amp would i need to power this system??how many channels? thanks

Default Re: AMP (96H22aLUDE)

supposing just for the subs, you need a mono amp

to match perfectly, you will want a amp that can have 600 watts RMS

to further complicate things, I will assume those subs are 4 ohm, so you should find an amp that is 2 ohm stable with the 2 ohm power rating at that 600watts RMS or close...

since amps make more powa at 2 ohm than 4 ohm respectfully, you can save yourself some money maybe getting one that works in that way...
