aluminized vs. aluminum?

Default aluminized vs. aluminum?

whats the difference between the two? also i have a dsm blow off valve and flange that is made of steel. are you able to weld this steel to aluminized piping?

alumnized steels are usually the same as mild steel but they cover it with a alumnized coating to help the rust. You can pretty much weld it to any other type of steel.
