compression ratio, how come is that........
if only the bore size change from the stock size (81.00 mm) to a larger bore size (83.00 mm), (all other factors being equal) compression ratio will increase. saw this result when using the compression calculator on c-speed racing. any care to explain?

More displacement means more volume @ BDC which means for the same volume at TDC the compression ratio is going to be higher. Same goes for stroke, it increases displacement so the volume at BDC is larger. In a stock bore B16 at zero deck with JE flat top pistons you get 9.23:1 compression. If you tried to run the same combination (42.7CC head and -1.7CC valve reliefs) on a 540" BBC you'd run around 22:1 compression
