I have a B18a1 swap in my crx and I think a 92 LS tranny with it, I bought the car with the swap already done. I went the other day to Advance Auto to buy some axle seals since mine were bad. I told the guy I needed axle seals for a 92 Integra LS, and he ordered them.

Anyways, they don't fit. Both new seals are the same size, and the ones I took out were different sizes. The replacements are Federal Mogul brand and are part #710159.

My tranny has a gold id tag with the # A1-1048380 on it. My question is, did the guy just order the wrong axle seals, or is my tranny not a 92 LS tranny?

What about them does not fit?
How are the new seals different then the old ones?
Measure the inner and outer diameter of each and let us know.

I made the same mistake. There are different part #'s for left and right! I mistakenly bought two of the same and like you, one did not fit!

A1 i *think* is a 90-91 tranny. Not sure if the axle seals are different from 92-93 but some parts definitley are. I bought some new axle seals for my Y1 (uses 90-91 parts) from Acura and they gave me 2 different ones. They fit perfectly.

 

oh yeah. I forgot to mention that I have a YS1 tranny and got seals from the dealer for a 90-91 Teg and they worked fine.

 

I got axle seals for a stock tranny from napa and they weren't even frikken close to fitting. I even checked to make sure it was for my car and they were, but they were way off. I guess it's oem for any important seals from now on.

My old seals one was bigger than the other. Both new seals are the same size, and neither fit into the tranny.

My question is, did the A1 tranny come just in the LS Integra or in other trims? And what years?

I went to acuraautomotiveparts.org and all part #s for 90-92 LS and GSR axle seals are the same. I'm looking for #26 right?

 

just buy some from the stealership
