i have an h22 with an m2a4 trans and it is stuck in 5th gear, i have tried yanking on it but it will not budge, am i looking at a tranny rebuild or what are some other possibilites, thanks

It won't come out of gear even after the car is turned off? How old is your clutch?

If I were you I would get a M2B4 LSD tranny if you have to replace it.

 

less than 10,000 miles on an exedy oem, and wont come out of gear period, i was just looking them up on ebay theres one for 800 buy it now, but as always money is an issue, i can start the car and drive it but only have fifth gear

 

Try this,

With it in 5th gear (obviously), SLOWLY let out the clutch while trying to pull it out of gear. See if it will release the gear RIGHT BEFORE the clutch engages.

Let me know how it goes.

Also, check your shift cables. Maybe they are bound up.
