brakes, help
hey i think something is wrong with my brakes, for the past few years now, everytime i lightly push the brakes its starts squeeking but then if i press the brakes all the way in the squeeking stops, i dont think they are warn out because it works pretty good (saved me many times from rearending people who forget to stop

Next time you have the car over to the local Honda guru, have him inspect the front brakes for wear. If they pass muster, have him apply some Hyppo Snot (Permatex Disc Brake Quiet) to the back of the front brake pads.
In effect, you're hearing a high frequency vibration set up between the pads / rotors under light application (heavy application clamps harder thus no vibration)
The Hyppo Snot effectively dampens the shoe negating the noise.

Take off the the wheel, then chek the pads for wear yourself. If they look as bad as mine in this tutorial then y ou should get them replaced.

i had a similar problem about 5 years ago, a tech told me that a film was just building up on my brakes. he said to get the car up to about 50-60mph and brake really hard about 4 or 5 times and it would burn it off. it sounded like a complete load of bullshit to me, but it worked.
