Default Previous JG cam problem - just wanted to mention it.

I previously purchased a JG cam and adj. cam gear for my SOHC vtec D16Z6, I can't recall which one it was at the moment. Anyway it was a major dispointment for me personally. The cam almost toasted my head, and it definetly toasted my exhaust rocker arm followers and the exhaust lobes on the cam also. I caught it just in time cause I heard a ticking coming from the head and wanted to investigate. I was lucky I had a spare vtec head around to slavage parts from.

I called JG and they told me they no longer make cams and there was nothing they could do. Now I have the piece of _s_h_i_t_ cam lying around, and it just pisses me off even looking at it. This has prevented me from buying another cam since. Its weird cause I know JG make good stuff and have earned a reputation early in this scene and have produced some kick *** cars.

I may look at the crower regrinds to see what they offer. I think the prices are not that bad. And it would go nice with my new turbo I have to put on. Maybe I could use the JG cam for the core charge?

Does any one have any suggestions for the ruined JG cam I now have in my possesion.

I just wanted to vent.

Its alot of money to toss up for somthing that can end up costing double of what you paid in the long run.

My suggestion would be to keep it. Well, keep it in your car next to your drivers seat. Makes a good night stick beater. Someone wants to F with you, pull that ish out and be like whats up now bitch, I got da JG cam to whip dat azz!!!
