Rust spots (images kill 56k)
my hatch is rusted like yours, it even has the silicone over the windshield because of the holes rusted in.
the rust on the upper doorframe is nothing to worry about, just strip it and repaint it.
the rest, though, has to be cut out and rewelded in.
in some areas, you might be able to get away with fiberglass, but it's not the right way to do things.
your hatch, i would just replace that, since it unbolts.

what i do is sand the rusted spots atleast 1 inch around it to bare metal then spray a nice layer of primer and i like to spray clear coat over it to be a clean job if not clear coat not required

To fix all that rust right and spray an even primer..Your looking about 250-300 bucks. Thats what I would charge and my rates are considered decent around here. You could consider this an estimate based on the pictures.
Ive never seen the strip above the window rust like that.

Heh, I got the car this way. Not sure how that happened. I'm also gonna need to have the silicone above the windshield removed and the windshield reinstalled, seeing as it leaks. Hoping to get all this done for pretty cheap.. Anyone know of a good bodyshop in central florida?

more that the thousand bucks it would take to get a clean ef. just put your money into the engine bay then when you can afford it get a new ef and swap the parts out. point you can still have fun just don't waste money on a lost cause. good luck
