forgot to add it was 100 plus degrees and humidity was unreal

I would suspect you'd make a little more. What your C/R?

i would think you would of hit a little more power

with my old setup stock ls turbo with drag turbo..i hit 215 at 8psi

 

You are not going to make "HT numbers" in that weather. Go back to the dyno when you feel you have a good amount of miles on the motor and start tuning for more boost. If you feel you are pushing the limits on pump gas (IAT, knock, etc) dont think twice about using 100 or even 104 octane. Good luck

ya it was soo hot i think i could have cooked myself lunch on my valve cover

im thinking in nice cool weather id be puttin down a good 10whp

plus i only have 500 miles on the motor so it isnt fully broken in yet

when i get around 2000 miles on it im going to throw on my 3bar and going to try n hit mid 300's which i feel should be easy because im not even barely touching the compressors map at 8 lbs

 

probably the temps. i made ~250whp @ 8-9psi on a 60-1 hifi on a stock b18b

 

yea, temp definately makes a difference. good numbers though.

 

what ems do u have?

 

i believe he was using uberdata, h-t member 93turbo16 did the basemap and quick tune to get my car on the road and ready for when i raise the boost up, he is a real kool kid and im looking forward to see what we can hit at around 16-18 lbs of boost

 

Did you dyno that at mcnews automotive in dillsburg pennsylvania. If so tell ray and bobby mike says hi.

 

did u have the guys from dynamic tuning it on the dyno or were you doing it on your own and where did u have your block built?

The guys from dynamic will never tune with this stuff. The guys at McNew's are good guys, they let me use the dyno whenever I want it. I have a bunch of other graphs that I should get around to posting. The temps in that dyno room are crazy. The kit was a very nice setup and is just awaiting some cam gear tuning and more boost. can't wait to see what happens.

I don't particularly like how the AF is at 12.0:1 when you tuned in 100 degree weather with high humidity. If you keep this tune over teh winter I would be willing to bet on a cold day your AF's will go well over 12.5:1 and may hit 13:0 or above . Hopefully you have a wideband and can do a street tune laster on. I didn't see what kind of EMS you had, but unless you have Neptune or AEM EMS then your IAT correction will be off. I agree with everyone you could have made more power if it was a nicer day....oh well. GL with that setup

It was just to get it on the road. I always add fuel into the whole map after I dyno it. It never leaves the same way it ended.

 

i put my turbo and everything on myself, built the block myself, basically did everything but tuning, and hopefully soon ill have the stuff to be able to do that, when i get done in school in 9 months i plan on doing this alot more

i go to school for a comprehensive automotive degree at stark state college in canton ohio. Best school around for automotive degrees. We have a GM Certified program, Toyota T10 certification program, and a Honda PACT program, along with the general comprehensive program. we have about 20 lifts, and could hold around 54 cars in house. brand new faucility this year, and we have around 100 cars in the fleet, including an RSX, Pilot, AWD v6 acura(CL?), and CRV.

dod u know of any good schools in PA i was looking at wyotech and uti. u know any otherschools that would be in PA or good schools period that would be close?

 

Post up your ignition maps. I believe the lack of power is due to low timing, hot weather, or possibly your camshafts. What are your cams set at right now? Did you degree them when installing them? Chances are you'll pick up a good bit of power by tuning them on the dyno. Do you have any datalogs by any chance you can share? I'd like to see what your IAT's were at.

Your air fuels look fine.... right at 12.0:1 under boost. The last bone stock LS I did was right at 250whp at 8psi on a similar set-up.

 

Those #'s aren't as bad as they look considering it made amost 190wtq before 5.5k rpm and holds on steady to redline. That's a real fat powerband. I still would say however, that it peaks in tq too early. Even in a stock ls, tq peaks after 6k rpm. If tq peaked later, you would of made well over 250whp. You should look into that.

 

i will ask 93turbo16 to post them up, the cams werent even touched as these were just a cpl baseline pulls to get the cars a/f good enough to drive on while im out breaking in the motor more, i plan on turning up the boost and doing cam gear adjustments and tuning for power when i go back
