how do i adjust the clutch on a 1995 honda prelude Si
I had the clutch replace about 6 month+ ago... but its a little shaky everytime I release the clutch. its more apparent in the first gear but less in the higher gears...
i would like to adjust the clutch myself and wondering if anyone could give me instructions how to do so...
many thanks.

really?!?!
i thought there is a way to loosen or tighten the clutch by a bolt or something... i used to be able to do on my old civic... which was located under the bornet...

what do you mean by adjusting the clutch? do you mean adjust the feel of the pedal? you CAN adjust engagement point, pedal height and free play of the pedal.
there is a nut on the pedal that controls the height, its in the helms section with the picture of the two Gears, its the first subsection i believe... shakey though? is it the pedal or engagement or what?
kinda think of it... i think its more like the engagement really... i feel it shaking or jerking as i release the clutch pedal and the throttle depressing...
but if i put more power (more throttle) i feel it jerking / shaking less... i do feel that it is as though "not enough power" is being used to push the car...
i hope that makes sense..?
give you a bit of history about the car...
i had a h23a before which was later replaced with a jap. import - f22b or f22a can't remember... but its the non-vtec version one... everything else is still the same...

my car is the sameway. i'm pretty sure the problem is a warped flywheel. usually when you do a clutch job, you should take the flywheel to a machine job to get fixed too.
are you sure you can drive a standard well? 'cause all it sounds liek to me is you can't and the car is shaking liek it does before it stalls.. sit the car on flat ground and in 1st gear slowly let the clutch out with no gas. you'll find out where it engages and start to get used to that. my corolla clutch is a lot different than mmy moms neon and when i first drove her car it did what i think you are saying until i got used to it
The first months after I got my clutch installed, the thing shook pretty badly, thats just what they do as they are getting situated to the flywheel. Its been about 5 months now and the shaking has stopped, but it does make a little "creaky" sound when the car is cold in the morning, when engaging first gear.
haha... no, i'm pretty sure its not my ability to handle a manual... but i'll take your point into consideration pr1mo_13
yOnKiNaToR... thanks for the info. i will take it up with my mechanic on the next service which is in a month's time... hopefully that'll smoothen things out fer me..
Dougs96SI... that's is pretty much what i'm experiencing now that you mention it... six months has now pass and the jerkiness is not so bad...
i manage to adjust the engagement point to engage slightly higher than where it used to be and now it feels smoother... thanks for the info. h8trix
thanks heaps ppl... you've been a great help...
at least now i'm a bit more knowledgeable about my car and don't feel like in the dark anymore...
