They are pretty well known in japan
But most honda owners in japan use other suspensions such as quantum, ohlins, buddy club, racing gear, tein, spoon & mugen.
as of the quality, maybe ask the guys who live in japan...MiraiZ, JDM_DOHC_SIR, dreal_gsr etc. I doubt anyone is using them in here.

I'm just wondering because i'm considering coilovers other than tein. I know the rust problem isn't too big, but I think something you spend over $1k on shouldn't rust period. I heard the Zeal B2 is pretty good, but again i'm trying to get a lineup of different brands.
if it doesn't snow in your area (never have salt on the street), don't worry about the rust factor.
kei office..etc will be a bytch to import
sounds like you are looking at the 1k-2k price range, think no further than the ones that are available.
Zeal B/B2/Basic/B6
Tein NR/NA/HR/HA
Buddy Club Racing Spec
If you are still worrying about the rust factor, don't consider the Teins. Not saying they are not good but I've seen rusted ones in person.
Good luck with your decision.

Kei Office.... honestly I haven't seen any Japanese Honda cars use this brand even though I closely follow the Japanese magazines. Most of them use Spoon, Mugen, Crux, Backyard Special, Zeal, Buddy Club, etc.
IMO Tein is not a good choice unless you go up to the all-aluminum body Type RA or the race only Type N1.

Only the steel bodied Teins have rust issues (HR/HA) and that's what most ppl have experience w/ and deem them rust-probs. FYI, Tein RE retail for $18xx in the US, so you can probably get them for below that at a shop and RE's are all aluminum w/ adjustable length also (like Zeal B6/S6 and BC RS...but these are chromoly, which are heavier than the RE's).
