Spoon mirror step-by-step install?
i was wondering if anyone had or could show me a step-by-step install for spoon mirrors. i've searched and found a couple of things but i do way better with pictures then with just words, but any help would be good.

Do you have a Helms manual? It is very easy. This is all from memory:
1. pry off the trainagle plastic cover inside the door covering the mmirror bolts
2. Loosen bolts and disconnect the wire harness for the power mirrors
3. To get to all the bolts easily you may need to pull off the door cover just a bit
4. remove the nuts holding on the mirror (make sure you are holding it)
5. Install new mirror in the same holes. Do NOT over-tighten the bolts/nuts or they will break.
6. re-install the plastic triangle cover
7. put the dooor cover back on

if you want to screw up the paint, sure.
i'd suggest prying it off with hand. thats very easy to do.

Careful with it... the metal clip is on a plastic stand-off, if you go too crazy with it, it could break off, you probably should loosen the door liner first, just in case... In any case, if you shift it up to get the plastic clips out of the door holes, then pull straight, I don't think you will have a problem.
Ask me how I know...
epoxying the piece back on does not help either...
and the replacement is a $22.49 item...
Thankfully, even without the metal clip, it stays on reasonably well, provided the door liner is tight
