obd 1 conversion ?
just finished installing jkobd.com ecu adapter, dist adapter and ecu using a jdm unchipped p28 replaceing my obd0 chipped pr3
i wired the vtec oil presure sensor and vtec wire but left the 4 wire o2 and the knock sensor un-wire being as though i am going to tune them out very soon using Neptune at titan motorsports in orlando
start up went great experienced a somewhat high idle but my idle was slightly high before with my engine set up ... let the engine warm up and then free revved to check vtec engagement and it his a fuel cut like rev limiter at about 4500 or so rpms ... anyone have any input? think it is because of the cel for no o2 and knock sensor?

P28 has no provision for the knock sensor. You need to wire up the o2 sensor asap and get rid of that cell. Get that ecu chipped and tuned before you start driving the car. A stock p28 will run lean on a b16a and can cause engine damage. Vtec did not engage beacuse the computer is in safe mode, and your car wasnt moving. The ecu needs to see tha the car is moving from the vss before it will let vtec engage. Good luck with your car

i've got the same problem running a z6 on a zdyne onewire. hits a limiter at 5k other than that it runs great. multiple posts and parts swapping has not helped. i hope you get it worked. bump for you.

CEL, Low Rev Limit. Its in limp mode. If its a STOCK p28, it WILL do that. It IS running the motor LEAN. Get it chipped, and you should be golden after that.
Also, WIRE that o2. right now its just dumping fuel like a ****.
As for the CEL light not working, check the ECU for the blinking LED.
Solid Red=Busted ECU OR limp mode.
Limp mode= Caused by ALOT of things. search for Limp mode here.
