Default Strange Header Sound After Install

I just installed a Alphawerks header. I got it for wholesale so I figured I'd give it a shot. Looks like a DC basically. Anyways, after installing it, it sounds really loud when i barely give it gas, and kinda sounds like its ticking or fluttering, but you can tell it is air. I don't think it is supposed to sound that way, it is really obnoxious sounding, and really makes me wanna take it back off if you know what i mean. It didn't come with a gasket for the collector to the cat, so i was thinking maybe that is where my problem is. Also, the top gasket seemed a little bent, but I would think it would compress once tightened. We went back through and tightened all the bolts real real right, and it hasn't changed. Please let me know what is going on. I also couldn't tell any power gains, maybe even seemed like it lost a little bit.

Look I'm just looking for advice, the headers are dyno proven. So if all you're gonna say is how I shoulda got prospeed or some other high dollar header, then don't reply. How much louder does the car typically sound with a set of headers.

It is going to sound like **** since you installed 2 headers on a 4 banger.

Another thing, it would be nice to tell us what engine you have.

Hate to tell you this .But he's right.There is 4 header pipes ,Which make it a set of headers.So when you go to buy HEADERS for your four cylinder.Your saying it correctly.

You are right, but I wasn't referring to that.

Sounds like sticky tires knows jack **** about headers, or is it header? Haha, go post on some other thread where some other idiot gives a ****. I figured out my problem already, and by the way Alphawerks makes a great header for the H22 A4 at a reasonable price.

We believe the gasket that came with the header had a slight bubble in it, causing it to bust. We made a gasket for it and it worked fine.

Go buy a gasket for the cat. Thats probably your problem. The fluttering your hearing is the exhaust leak were your cat connects to the downpipe. It also could be a broken flexpipe if that header has one. Get under the car and see if it shot black soot up under the car by the cat that will tell u if its been leaking.

i think they already solved the problem...

runners = header

header = exhaust manifold

headerS = exhaust manifolds

unless you have two banks, any honda b, f, h, d, k, series will have a header.

but then again.. simply semantics.
