Would an alternator for a 1992 Civic SI in Canada with no AC work in a 1995 Civic EX with AC in the U.S.? Both the souce alternator and the destination car had Mitsubishi alternators. Is there an amperage issue here - the source is a 70 amp unit, the destination was supposedly.. 90 amps.

i've done the same swap with no problems.as far as i knew,they were all the same amperage rating.

in my experience,yes and no.if it's been exposed to weather it can have corrosion all in it.but,i've also gotten 15+ year old engines that still have alternators that work fine.
