Its a jdm b16, sometimes i can here the pump prime then the car starts then dies and i wait a few minutes and its starts fine. Other time i cant hear the pump and it doesnt start. Could it be the ignition module or is it just the fuel pump? Or anytime else? Thanks in advance.

 

I'm not sure about b16's, but when I had that problem in my 93' civic it was my main fuel relay. If you use one of those...maybe it's intermittent.

 

i'd say the main relay.from my experience,a bad fuel pump stops working and doesn't work again.
the main relay going bad would work intermittently-just like you've described.
wouldn't be a bad time to replace the fuel filter too.

where is the main relay?? is it underneath the dash in the drivers kickpanel??

 

yes,it is behind the bottom part of the dash on the driver side.
if you do a search for "main relay" you'll find threads with pictures of it so you'll know what you're looking for.
