I just started installing my new aftermarket wheel and quick release on my 93 prelude. THen I got to the SRS reel. What do you guys do at this step.

I figured
1. if I place my momo hub over the SRS reel it wont get far enough on the spindle to secure well. And the SRS reel cover is plastic so I dont want to bolt it onto plastic. And the plastic piece has 2 protruding plastic things so I can't bolt it flush(unless I cut them) and those wires whatever they are on the side area of the cover wont let me bolt the hub on flush either unless I cut them, which would render them useless.


2. THen I realized if I remove the cover and that SRS wire/white ribbon I can bolt the momo hub securely, but I wont have a horn then right? And can I just cut that white ribbon. I was hesitant that if I cut it the car may not start or something.

And I do not want to take off my steerign column cover because it seems like every time i take it off or someone I know takes it off a tab or a few seem to break, so im hoping there is another way around this.

Sorry for the length of this, hopefully someone has the right answers.

 

the momo hub had provision for a horn wire on my friend's integra, check it out....

then you can go to where the horn wire comes out of the ribbon and goes out to the car and splice the momo wire in there....dont mess with that reel, they are a bitch to fix and you may regret breaking it someday...
