Default Brakes: How big is too big?

Wondering if putting very big brake system on my Crx will affect the car on the track (Solo 1). I am worried that the proportion of braking up front will be too much versus the rear. I heard that it may lock up very easily up front. Planning to put Acura TL calipers up front. Need to up grade because of my Ls-Vtec set-up

if you change over the prop vavle along w/ the mc and bb (50/50 prop as opposed to 50/40) you should be fine.

Pad/rotor change would be easier

convert your rears to disc, its only about 150 dollars in parts, if you put it in yourself or have someone help you, im sure anyone that has done it wil tell you it was worth it.

My '83 weighs 1900lbs....i've got 11" ITR brakes on it.

It's awesome. I've never once locked them up and it will absolutely throw you through the front windshield.

It nose dives a TAD, but not as much as I expected. I still have the stock rear drums/stock prop valve on it.

nose dive is a good thing, weight transfer. as long as your brakes are biased correctly there is no limit on the size, less for the wheel size. but you will get a diminishing results with exponentially increasing expenses as the brake size increases.

It is an 1991 Crx Si. Rear disk brakes already.... Changed my pads for Hawks Hp+. Need more braking power for Solo 1.

I agreed to just put better pads ( for Solo2) but for road racing I need better brakes.

I thing the Acura TL brakes calipers are bigger then ITR......?

(Got an Ls-Vtec but building an 190+ whp set-up )

also, the bigger you go, the more rotational inertia you will be adding, which kills your accelleration. i, personally like either the regular integra (same as ex), and itr brakes.
