steering rack wear
it seems that alot of people have taken off their power steering belt. I did and I love it gone but the honda dealer says that it will cause the steering rack to wear out and fail. Any expirences?
should be fine if you:
1- remove the in/out lines on the rack(leave the barb fitting for the "in" line).
2- find a barb fitting for the "out" hole with the same barb dia(different thread size).
3- run a line to a small reservoir, then one from the reservoir back to the rack. The reservoir is so the fluid can expand when heated.
Apparently this is what the Realtime guys do-so i've heard. Going on five years-again, so i've heard.
Hope this helps. Dropspeed and I are doing this with ours.
