Default Axle Install

Ok firstly let me apologize for the double post- No one's responding to my other issues any more.

Here's a pic of my axle.. it doesnt look all the way in at all, but it spins the half shaft.

BLAH.

It still slides on and off rather easily.. that doesnt seem too right.. i'm tired of sitting on my hands if i could possibly be putting my suspension back together. HELP! tia.

take off the axle nut and use a hammer handle to push in the axle you may need to hit the hammer with a mallet. it should snap into place and not just come apart pulling on it with your hands. you might also want to expand the c clip on the axle if its not snapping into place.

correct me if Im wrong but there isnt a c clip on the driver side where the half shaft connects to the intermediate. It just slides over the end of the intermediate snug. Just did mine and the friggin inner boot tore after a week. Any ideas why?(not to thread jack). Gonna give a boot replacemanta try and pull the whole inner assembly apart and see what happens.

i thinkt here is a c-clip there yes. do a search on "axle boot" i think it is.. there is a great write up about rebuilding an axle.
