Default Does it matter what car I get an 02 Sensor from?

hey guys i'm having a sputtering problem and I might be able to score a used 02 sensor (is used fine?) from another friends D15 or possible his B18B1. Are the 02 sensors vehicle specific or can I use either of these two?

It depends on if yours is a four-wire heated O2. Any plain old 4 wire heated O2 will work fine. When I did my turbo setup, I ended up using my secondary O2 sensor as the new primary O2. I couldn't get the actual primary O2 out of the manifold because I didn't have air tools, and I didn't need the secondary anymore cause I converted to OBD 1. If you have an EG, get the one from the B18B1. The D15 I don't know what year the one you speak of is, so I can't make a recommendation for that one.

When I last checked I recall there being two wires. A green and a white? I could be imagining things but I'm pretty certain it was only 2 wires. Too lazy to go in that cold *** garage right now *shivers*.

So I could grab any 2 wire o2 sensor and use that?

by the way do you have AIm?

No, I don't have AIM. Cold? It's the middle of summer! What year/model is your car? I've never heard of a two wire O2, just a single wire and a four wire heated.

Alright. You were right. It's a 4 wire. 2 black,1 green and 1 white. I guess only the bright colors stuck in my mind.

thanks!

Yeah it's 4 wire... There's a site online that sells 4 wire universal o2 sensors for relatively cheap, but i can't find it again.

Any other 4 wire O2 (like the one from that B18B) will do. If the O2 from the D15 is a 4 wire, it'll work too. Good luck!
