Does your A/C suck ass?
Mine does...ive noticed this on a few EGs but hardly any at all on the EKs. Is this a common issue for EG models? Any particular reason? The A/C in my EG8 does blow hard or cold like it should. Now on my gf's EK, it will almost blow snow in hurricane force winds. There has to be a fix for this..
i cant find a shop thatll do a R12 re-charge...o well time to swap to r-134a. I might just get the whole damn AC kit from Honda and be done with it.
AC, what AC. Dont need one, enjoy the nice hot weather. Screw the A/C. My sucks butt too, just need recharge. but I am taking out my belt for it so no recharge needed!

my thoughts exactly.

Yup retrofit it to R134A
bring it to a real ac shop evacuate old r12. The RobinAir machines at the AC shops can detect leaks just by lookin at the gauges for vacuum leaks with both ports closed. Reto to r134 new pag oil and youre set. Shouldn;t cost that much either

All 94+ Civics have the exact same compressor (also the CRV), so the whole system is fine. It's just old, so I think you just need to have your system serviced/retrofited. I have an R-12 CRX that was just converted to R-134. The system needed to be properly evacuated, and the compressor oil was changed (R-12 oil isn't compatable with R-134 refrigerant). Once that was done, they just install the proper fittings where you connect the tester/filler, and charged it up. My CRX blows pretty cold now and the condesor fan doesn't even work. I have to have it on 3 or 4 (out of 4) with recirculate turned on to battle the Vegas mid day heat though (105 degrees at the moment)...
Hopefully my replacment condesor fan will step it up a notch...
