Default my new hatch wont start!!

ok i got a 92 civic cx and it wont start. the fuel pump wont turn on and it wont fire to the sparkplugs either. it has power to the distributor...but it wont send anything to the plugs and i just bought a new coil yesterday.i did take off the ecu and it has a burned spot on the board. does ne one have a clue if that would be the reason the fuel pump does not respond and it doesnt fire. >also i checked the pump and it works. stumped.

could more than likely be the main relay...if its not that it could be the ECU

my guess is the main relay also, if not then your ecu could possibly be bad.

Try changing the ECU with a friends, or somene that you know. And then try replacing the main relay. That should fix the problem.

yea i would go with main relay... since the fuel pump wont even kick in... check to see if there is power going to the ECU from the main relay... there are a couple of write - ups on how to check the main relay....

Also check the fuse box in the engine bay, I blew the 15 amp fuse under there and the fuel pump didnt turn on until i replaced it

checked all fuses, will be checking for power to the ecu...i would think that there would be considering that the ecu has a burned spot on the board

you have a burnt spot on the board and you're actually considering other possibilities of problems? Find out what caused that first.
DO NOT plug in your buddies ECU to see if it works or it could have the same burn mark quickly.

take a pic of the burn mark and post it. I or someone else that's knowledgable of the inner workings of the ECU can help you from there.
