Default Buying EP3

Hello all,

I'm planning to buy an '05 EP3 within the next month and was wondering what price I should aiming to pay the dealer excluding tax & license. I did a search on this forum and it came up with posts from 2003/2004 so it's a bit dated. I live in SoCal. If you can suggest a price and maybe a dealer I'd appreciated.

Kevin

in CA expect to pay at least 16k for a brand new (may exclude tax, fees and licences). i suggest buying a pre-owned 02-04. the value has deppreciated quite a bit for these cars. pre-owned would run you from 10k and above. happy shopping.

And wait for a higher price tag.... if the 05 SI's can be had for around $16.5k Why not go for it? The new ones (06's) will be over $20k plus the demand should be high so expect to pay even more.

Wait for the new 06 Si and be one of the first to be ridin in one:
200 horse power
18 inch rimes
coupe
It is going to be tight. But you can't go wrong with an Ep3. I got an 02 for $12,500
before tax. The car is a great car and fun to drive. Just like the 05 but basically the lights are differant and it's five lug.

The new Si probably will not have 18's most likely 16's and maybe optional 17's, also the price tag is going to be significantly larger than the current SI.... im not sure if thats worth it.

I guess some of us (including myself) can't sleep without talking about the new 06 si... imo, its just another version of RSX-S, (coupe,6 speed tranny, 200 hp) that shares Scion TC's frontEnd and 03+ Accord's tail.. so its really nothing new to me personally..... EP3 is more of the legendary hatchback civic SI.. the real ****... anyways

expect to pay around $17,000-18000 +/- taxes, tags, misc fees. for the brand new 05 Si, just shop around so don't try and settle with the first dealer you go into (believe me it happens all the time). and its always best to have your own financing ready before you go in... so when the dealer asks you can just tell them you're paying cash... this will get you into actually talking about the price of the car and not the monthly payments.... its always fun shopping for a car .. I'm myself shopping around for an S2k... anyways, i hope it helps....

pick up a used ep. unless you get a new one at invoice, it's not worth it.
