Default TEST PIPE?

alright guys i just have a quick question to ask, if i use a test pipe and plug in my o2 sensor into the o2 sensor bung on the test pipe will i still get a check engine light? I know the test pipe has no restriction that's why im wondering if the check engine light will come on. I just recently had a muffler shop did a custom exhaust pipings and now i just bought a 4-1 header and it wont fit cuz the pipings on the exhaust is too long so im thinking of getting the adjustable omni test pipe instead of going to the muffler shop and have them cut and re-weld the pipings, any suggestions?

I did this on my car ( obd2 h22 w/ stock ecu ) and it never threw a CEL, however my friend did this and their car would throw the CEL sometimes, so its kinda 50/50 chance from my experience, I know online they sell 02 simulators, then you dont have to worry about it at all. good luck with it..

bump this up for more input, should i just take it back to the muffler shop and have them cut and re-weld the exhaust pipe instead of buying a test pipe? By the way will a 2.5in outlet fit on a stock cat?

should bolt up

as far as ur exhaust

so basically what ur saying is that u got ur whole exhaust done...now u bought a header and wont fit cause it wont reach the b-pipe...? a test pipe should work if its long enough..as far as ur o2 thing...id do it.

Convert it to OBD1.

Could you explain more about an o2 simulator, I'm guessing it just plugs in to where you'd plug the o2 sensor, and shows that its reading normal, but are there any downfalls to having one? also where could I find something like this?

Thanks,
Keith
