Check Engine Problem Code 92
My check engine light came on while driving yesterday. The car drove fine, so I did a driveway check and came up with 92 (Insufficient Purge Flow or Defective Emissions System). I have a LS engine in a 96 civic. To have it pass the ref inspection I swapped out the 99 LS EVAP canister with a 96 LS. No check engine light then and I passed ref and smog. I think it has to do with a bad canister now. I'm wondering if I should just switch back to the 99 EVAP cansiter since I passed the ref inspection. Also, is it ok to drive even though the EVAP canister is bad? I'm still trying to learn about these things. Thanks.
Update
I had the canister switched back to its original canister which is the the one that came with the engine. I had a mechanic back home do it and he figured it was the 96 canister that had a problem. Anyways today driving my check engine light came back on and I pulled out the same code. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions? Also if anyone knows of a good mechanic down in Thousand Oaks, Camrillo, Calabasas, Van Nuys anywhere around here I'd appreciate it, i'm down here for the summer and don't know of anyone down here.
