Default What Greddy Blue Box do I have?

I recently bought a used Greddy Turbo Kit off a fellow honda-tech member for the bseries. Problem is neither I or the seller know what application si the blue box for. Is there anyway i can find out by inspecting it to find out what application its for? gsr.. ls.. si etc etc.

So what i've read is its a preprogrammed ECU that just reads the MAP sensor to see how much boost is being run to find out how much more fuel needs to be drawn. So I'm assuming that all the Blue Box come preprogrammed the same way and can be used on any honda. Can anyone tell me other wise?

your right about how it works, hell a friend of mine almost got one to work on a turboed ptcruiser. but for identifying it... there should be a white label on it (maybe on the side) and it will have what kinda car it goes to in the model number, like if its for a dc2, then dc2 will be somewhere in that number

a map that runs at 10.5 to 1 on a b16 should be fine on a b18c1.

As long as you have a wideband, you will know whats up. All it does is add fuel, so you'll either be just right or too rich. So try it out.

honestly, all it does is adjust fuel. It adds fuel based on MAP reading. So you'll have stock ecu + extra fuel/lb of boost. Soon as it sees around 14iunches it will drop afr to around 10.5-11:1. So if your on the worst setup, b16 box on b18, the 10.5-11:1 should be a more manegeable AFR. I can't imagine the setup would be that different, its just a super fat fuel curve.

As long as you have a wideband, you will be OK
