car wont start!!!
so i got up this morning and as i was leaving to school the god damn car wouldent start.
the engine cranked so the starter, and batt are ok. i even took out my dmm to make sure it was at the correct voltage. i think that its gonna be my distributor. when i would get to about 5krpm the needle would jump way past 9k ive been assuming that it was the dizzy doing this.

tf i just went to my car, it turned on then died after about 5 seconds, then i turned it on again and it was like normal. i turned the car off for a min turned it back on and it started up again. WTF.
i know that its not a bad fuel filter. its only like 3 months old.

do you know anyone that has a fuel pressure gauge? if so, that will narrow your search down quite a bit. i'm not sure what stock pressure is, though.
any backfiring or weird sounds when trying to start it?

Hey bro, i had the same problem with my gsr 95. I am not going to say its 100 % it but what u are describing it seems to be about the same. Behind and underneath the distributor there is a ecu ground wire that is held by a ten mm screw to a bracket. Tighten that screw cause it will get loose after a while. That seemed to be it for me. Sometimes it would leave me stranded, sometimes wont get me nowhere.
hahahaha.. my 92 does the same thing.. I have got it down to a science, its your main relay under the dashboard. when its hot outside or the relay gets hot, when you turn the key over it doesnt allow the ignition or fuel to kick in so therefore no starting. when my car does it it will run for a few seconds then shut off, keep trying it until you hear the fuel pump turn on.I leave my relay un attatched from the mounting location so i can flick it and then it works.. this is the 3rd or 4th honda that I have had that does this and my buddies do it also so i would imagine that its common.. hope this helps you

main relays are easy to fix. just remove the cover, and resolder all the connections. the solder joints crack over time, degrading the circuit.
this doesn't address your tach jumping up to 9k though.

yea ive been trying ti figure that **** out, only things i can think of r a possible loose wire in the distributor posibly the igniter, or the distributor is going bad

could be the coil or ignitor, definately sounds like ignition to me, use your dmm and check your primary and secondary resistance on your coil. if you dont know how to do that, any honda repair manual can show you. if that checks out good then test the igniter. If thats good then look at fuel but it sounds like a big ignition problem.
