Default BOV placement???

Hey guys, just had a quick question. Iv noticed that on turbo setups that some guys put there BOV on the hot pipe and others on the clod pipe. Is there a difference or is one side better that the other. Somthing i couldnt deduce myself so just some wise words from you all. thanks

You really should place it as close to the turbo (on the high pressure side) as possible to keep pressure from building and slamming into your turbine.

i have mine mounted before the intercooler on the bend going in the front driver side fender.. i think its better to have it before the intercooler because there is more pressure there.. and its louder if you like the very loud bov thing..

Lotta people do it for noise, aestetics, and stupid ****.
**** BOVs, check out a recirculator. Its like a BOV going back to the intake before the turbo. This is more of a slow leak tho then a 'blow off' where it slows down the turbo slower, and sorta holds more air in the charge pipes, so when you shift, and WOT again, you got all this nice air in the pipes for a quick response, and less turbo lag.

I've been wondering about this, I have seen BOV's mounted before the throttle body, right after the intercooler...and I was just wondering which would be the best. Since I want to make it as sleeper as possible, at least when someone pops the hood
