Default K20 power just got more affordable.

I'm sure a lot of you hybrid guys have thought about doing the k20 swaps but are turned off by the high cost of the motor. type-s motor goes for 3g on the cheap side of things. type-r goes for 5g.

You can get a k20a3 for less than 1g.

what happens when you run a k20a3 with cams i/h/e UNTUNED in a 2002 civic si with full interior v.s. a gs-r with JG head, skunk2 stage II cams, i/h/e, tuned to 9000+rpm redline?

see for yourself.

RIGHT CLICK SAVE-AS

now imagine that in a 2200lb eg . . .

budget k-series hybrid has arrived.

with the extra .2L of the k20, and the B series out of production and becoming more rare every day,

maybe k20a3 turbo will take the place of the LS turbo setup as the most cost efficient way to build a quick honda??

Once mounts and axles from hasport are less than $1,000.

The Hybrid-Racing full billet mounts go for $600 and the Stage 1 axles for for $400...that equals $1,000. I'm pretty sure the hasport stuff is equally priced. The big part of the k-swaps isn't so much the mounts/axles...it's all the other smaller parts that add up to the cost.

Does that EP3 have any ET's or any HP numbers?

how about if the ep3 had just shy of 180whp, and a 6spd tranny with a shorter final drive? oh, and did I mention a 10+ft-lb torque advantage throughout?
