Buyin H22
i got another question though, i want the JDM motor, for the little kick up in power, but how does it work switchin the wiring harness around? is it too much of a pain? or can i do it?
You can do it, just read up a little bit on here or another site or a friend who has experience. If you have the extra 250 or 300, get an H22 swap with LSD.....
LSD is a limited slip differential. Basically a non LSD tranny spins one wheel and the LSD tranny spins both wheels. Helps a lot with traction.

dont waste your money on a jdm h22. the power difference is 10hp on paper, and who knows you might get a jdm h22 that makes 150hp whereas you could get a usdm that makes 160hp.
i just have couple questions about this place, cuz i really like the prices here! how hard is it to swap wireing harness? anyone have instructions? and did you order from here and how did you like it?
Me? oh yeah i ordered it from Jdm Source. Great guy to buy from, good prices, good deals, good engine, tranny was good, he even have me the down pipe, wiring harness, and threw in a set of JDM stanley's for a couple hundred too. I paid with a wire transfer, and the engine was at my doorstep in 3 days shipped. Very happy.
The wiring harness, its a mess, but you need it to swap, its not so bad, but you gotta line up all the wires for your car (the jdm harness is backward) so you have to relocate almost every little wire, so the wires can reach. There is a place that you can just buy the harness from (less headaches) HASport, check that out.
Things you gotta know. Sensors are your problem, so be prepared to change the knock sensor, ignition coil, and also be ready to go to the junkyard to pick up some connectors, other than that, i was happy, JDM source was great to deal with. my engine looking at the wear on the belts, and wear etc....had about 35,000km's on it.
need additional info pm your e-mail address.

there is a slight diff in power between usdm and jdm, it comes in the ecu the jdm ecu's are set at a diff fuel tables. giving a slight jump in power.
(i think it has to do with emission regulations over here in the US)
h22's range in power anywhere from 190 to 220 depending on what year you get
h23's range from 150 to 160

Generally speaking, the difference in OBDI JDM and US H22s is not just in the ECUS, it's more of a combination, because the US version has 10.0:1 compression and JDM version is 10.6:1.
Most likely 97+ Type S motor or Euro R motor They run from 3500 to 4000 usually. They are not really worth it unless you plan to put the motor in your car and leave it that way. Your looking at spending 1200-2000 extra for 20 more HP and a red valve cover. They are cool motors if you want to put it in and sit back and chill.

yup

so you redid the whole wiring harness? how long did that take? and where can i buy that knock sensor and that ignition coil? i just dont know any real good places to get stuff.
yeah the wiring harness was a mess, if you wanna do it, have fun, first thing you'll need to do is get some wire cutters, make sure you have the right connectors, that will work, and if you don't you'll need to take a trip to the junkyard and get them, next you have to make a ....i guess a map of where the wires go, then i used coloured tape, and bunched the wires together, and then wrapped the harness back up...also grab a 24 of beer, you'll need it for less headache give HASport a call. goodluck
Ignition Coil, Go to Honda, Knock sensor, go to honda.
when doing the ignition coil do the cap and rotor for the distributor.
