Do fuel injectors "click"?
My new swap is somewhat noisy, I think it's mostly a poor exhaust seat on the cat, so no big deal. But there is also a clicking sound. I can never quite tell if it is in the head or just rattling because of the Hasport mounts. The engine drives/revs fine. The V8 guy in the barracks said (after listening) that it may just be old injectors. The engine is a OBD1 B16A from Japan, so I thought he just be right.
injectors are just selonoids they click any time they are energized, wich is measured in milliseconds. take a screw driver place it on the injector then take the other end of the driver to your ear and listen. do the same to the valve cover and listen for a noise

you should not be hearing stock injectors clicking much louder than your motor.
my 550's on the other hand are very audible from outside the car with the hood closed
