to change the whole diff? if its the full assembly, shouldn't be too much. a couple hundred i would guess. if you need to put in gears and such, expect to pay more

i'd say a good all around LSD is a quaife. Never heard anything bad about one and they seem to be the most popular all around

currently i running the spoon 1.5 way lsd...but for labor costs i not sure how much would it be just for lsd cuz i did the clutch, fly and lsd at same time...labor was like 450 cdn around...and i would recommend if u don't track or race your car on circuit don;t even bother..oem lsd is enuf...diu to the annoying clunking sounds u get from aftermarket lsds...it really depends which brand u go for..some will make it super loud some won;t...basically sounds like broken cv joints when your driving

what does lsd stand for??
by the way nishant, i was looking for personal input on the differences between 00-03 vs 04-05's, and found mostly technical differences (differences which i knew) but no luck finding personal input, and how what they liked, didn't like of the changes/modifications

so now i'm taking you up on your offer, could you please forward me a thread, or post with the mentioned above differences?

many thanks
Alex

differences between 00-03 and 04+:

2.2L motor, 8k redline, different 1st-4th gear ratios, 17s, bigger brakes (0.2"), different front brake pads, door panels, 1 more cupholder, steering wheel, driveshaft, rear subframe, rear toe angle curve, stiffer front springs and sway bars/softer rears, wider different tires, LED taillights, different headlights, new F/R bumpers, new exhaust tips (the rest look the same )

Most important of all: 9 LBS OF TORQUE~!!!

i think he was asking for your opinion about the changes. i could be wrong? instead of the technical aspects of the new s2k's, post what you think about the changes they made.

I have a few friends that run 2-ways (not in s2000's but 240SX's)... you have to get used to how it reacts basically, and it kind of chirps the tires at parking lot speeds from locking.
Also makes a funny assed *thunk* noise in parking lots (normal).

If you drive normally/safely in the rain, you should be fine, but don't expect yourself to be able to drive any way you want in the rain.

other than that, they have no problems.
