Default axles not alined properly...motor hitting hood under torque

I have a 92 civic with b16a(jdm). Heres my problems i recently re-did my axles and the shop (my brother) said the axles arent lined up properly. He says the motor is sitting too far foward and a little bit up(causing me to go through axles). I thought getting aftermarket mounts would help but hasport said there mounts are the same as stock just stronger. I took my car to the people who did they swap, and they say i need a new rear engine mount. i agree with them the mount is bad cause under torque the engine will ding the hood.....but will a new rear mount fix my axles alignment problem. Any one have this problem or know whats wrong? All suggestions and commets welcome!!!!!!!! THANXXXXXXX

I thought the HAsport mounts that were specific to EG with B16 made the motor sit lower and farther back.

i thought HAsport mounts positioned the motor diffrently too but wen i called Hasport a guy told me they were the same as stock mounts just stronger(he coulda just been talkin outa his ***)i would have no problem buying the mounts but i wanna make sure it will correct the problem before dropping 450! thanx HAM.....any one have more info on this, will hasport mounts correct the problem?

what mounts did you use for the swap?... maybe you have the wrong mounts altogether which could cause your motor to sit funny and also prematurely wear them out

Im told i am using "stock" mounts. I am not sure weather they mean stock b16 or stock eg(im guessing eg) If i got hasport mounts would my motor sit correctly or could there still be other things going on? The rear mount is defanitly shot but i was told the front 2 are good. ANY IDEAS?.....

if your mounts are shot the torque of the motor is easily gonna move the motor ! jus get either new stock mounts or some aftermarket mounts ! should cure your problem

OEM B16A and D16 mounts are the same, the brackets are different, but they have the same placement. You mounts are problably shot to hell, either get some instert like Energys, or thebuy all new OEM, or HAsports if you want.

I had the same problem. Its hitting on the left side, right over your valve covers ends right?????
Mine was so bad that when I put the turbo on, the wastegate punched a hole through my hood. I posted about this about a week ago.

All I did was replace the mounts that were bad and put some energy motor mount inserts in. Problem solved.

I am also gonna give you some advice. If it hasnt already happened yet, it will,...... SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH be4 you post. These guys are ruthless about flaming you.

Hope my opinion is helpfull. Oh yeah, You really should try AND FIND OUT WHICH MOUNTS YOU ARE USING,...THAT WILL HELP DIAGNOSE URE PROBLEM BETTER

Quit wasting posts with useless response like this. Plain and simple, once is enough, twice gets gay.

Replace the broken mount, see what it does for your problem. Personally, I wouldn't use any aftermarket mount kit for an EG... Use the 94+ Integra mounts and then you KNOW its going to sit in the correct spot. I will however say I have used the Hasport mount kit for an EG coupe with a B16 swap and it worked out perfectly.

THIS is how flame wars get started. I was just trying to save this guy some grief. I warned him once about searching and then he asked an equally rhetorical question. I wish someone had warned me like that.

What do you mean you haven't heard of it? I have done several swaps using stock 94+ Teg mounts for B series into EG's.. Its fits like stock because they are stock mounts. No allignment issues, etc to deal with. But like I said, the one time I did use Hasport mounts, I had no issues either. I would chaulk it up to your one broken torque mount.
