Symptoms of bent valves?
what are the symptoms of bent valves..
do you hear them? or is it strictly in the performance of your engine.. i hear no clicking noises... my timing is as good as it ges.. (one tooth back i get clicking noises under a quick tap of the throttle, and same for one tooht forward)

idle will be inconsistant and rpms would drop considerable with my few experiances the car would die at idle do a leak down test or while the car is on one by one pull your spark plug wires out 1 cylinder at a time idle should change when you pull one out if not somethings wrong.
ok sounds good.. ive pulled the sparks before and the idle changes...
the reason im asking is cause i did the timing on my car a very very ghetto way.. (didnt do TDC for the crank... ).. so id change the cam timing a tooth at a time until it was correct...
but in doing that, i had the cam slip on me a time or two and lost where i was at.. so id set the belt on, try to start it and bam.. engine locked up... pretty much rocked my whole car.. that happened twice.. but i have the engine timed fine, and it runs fine.... it just seems like my gas mileage isnt as good as it should be...
and yes i know the wya i timed my car is not good
