? About main cap bearings
I have a B20 that I am building up for my CRVTEC and as we all know those are relatively new motors. I am replace the rod bearings as I'm putting in Eagle rods. What about the main bearings? Any harm in putting the original ones back into place? I know I'm being cheap, but would it be fine? I would just assume I'd need the same colors as what I took out of the block to replace the main bearings with.
BTW: there is no unusual wear or tear on the bearings I pulled out.

if low mileage, check also for scars ont he bearings or spots of heat stress if plenty replace them or at least the ones that are stressed.
but figure for $100 buks and you have the chance to change bearings, why wouldn;t you ? you wont get this chance again unless you take motor apart again.

like he said just check the bearings for stress marks and hot spots. The total bearing cost for all bearings is relatively cheap, so you might aswell spend the money. My total cost on bearings was somewhere around $200.
I would just go with new bearings, why take the chance on ruining ur motor. If you do reuse the orginals do as everyone else has said and check them!
