i was just wondering about this and if anyone tried it....just wondering..if there were any good n successful stories of it i think i may consider this option.......

i hope you dont mean the k-series 6 speed tranny. you might have a problem putting that in, seeing as how the flywheels spin the opposite way in k series engines

 

ive heard of someone doing the tranny off the s2k but its a lot of work n hassle..i was thinki like a custom gear box

6 speed would prolly be sweet in an ITR! I don't think it needs it though... Well prolly for the highway.

 

on a sort of related note, i heard about some company that swapped an h series into either a civic or a teg and made it so that it had a b series tranny. course this was in small talk conversation with some kid with a civic so i got no links or anything. i doubt he was bullshitting since his car looked built rather well and he seemed pretty knowledgable.

^ I heard that there's a company that makes custom trannys. I believe it's only for VW's though. Not too sure, but it cost around 25k for one.

then a custom 6 gear tranny isn't for you.

get a shift **** from a RSX type s to perp that you have 6 gears y0!

 

Yes, there are B-series transmissions that are 6speed that you can buy. However, as people have said, they are upwards of $15K or something like that.

S2K tranny won't fit. It's made for a RWD car and won't even be positioned correctly. To the original poster: You said you don't have money for a K-series swap, but any major transmission work similar to the one you're speaking of, will cost A WHOLE DAMN LOT MORE than the K-swap.
