A032R makes your car slow?
If your trying to push the car yes, because they (A032Rs in particular) create more fristion. I think under power you will not notice a power loss.

I think there is about a 5% rolling circumference difference between a 195/55 and 205/50 - so you might notice a little difference in acceleration. Cornering and braking should have waaay higher limits than the stock tires (but you have to get the tires up to temperature to really tell). So the answer to your question is a resounding NO.

I remember trying to push my race car with the Toyo Proxes on it. The car felt like it weighed 9000 lbs.
And if you turn the wheel you would swear the parking brake was on.

No drag racer with a brain would run A032Rs. I assume that the original poster meant on the street? Obviously on a road course or autox these tires will be much faster than your average street tire.
DJHan: Perhaps if you would elaborate as to the intended usage of the tires?

(or maybe you should try inflating the tires with air, that helps a bit. Also try some weight lifting, you should probably start with the baby blue/pink dumbbells, you can get them in the Women's fitness center at Sports Authority)
DJHan, could you please provide a little more background when you post questions. It would make it alot easier for people to answer you.
SORRY.. Chris
I got it last december , yesterday was the first time I Vtec my ***
on dry road , but I felt something SLOW ,maybe its same and I felt wrong
so I worried spending money on wrong items ,people say A032R is better than RE010 ....I guess I need more experiences to find out A032R is good
sorry Im wasting your time
Im little slow person

Btw, I have the Ao32R`s on my Civic and really like them
. Still need to get`em on th etrack though..

They make your car slower in a different way. Not what you think though ..... not because of the tire diameter. The tire diameter of the a032rs are better for acceleration b/c it is smaller than stock.
But......
The fact that there is more surface area touching the ground and the compound of the tire is stickier, you'll have more rolling resistance.
Also .... these tires are alot heavier than the RE010's. So you have to deal with the extra unsprug weight as well as rotational mass of the tire.
I think the extra grip in the turns outweights the loss of speed in the straights.
Its the price you have to pay when dealing with a car with so little torque.

I don't know about that ..... maybe when you wear them down alittle.
I used the two handed arm scale method and the a032r's where alot heavier.
Maybe I should check the true weight of each.
Don't get me wrong though, I love'em.

They are about the same in weight, maybe 1-2 lbs diff, most people wouldn't notice that difference on 20-22lb tires.
There is a small speed differential decause of the difference of diameter but I doubt that you would notice it. For example if you where going at 65 mph on the stock RE010, the A032R at the same rpm will give you an actual speed of 63.9 mph. Like everybody is saying however the gain in lateral G will be very noticable, I had a lot of fun (short lived with a treadware of 60) with the A032R I had two summers ago.
